Areas Covered

The City & Guilds 6710-23 Level 2 Diploma requires candidates to cover the following units:
  1. Building and construction principles
  2. Selecting the right quality and quantity of materials
  3. Preparing backgrounds to minimise the risk of damage
  4. Forming sand and cement screeds
  5. Applying tiles to wall surfaces
  6. Installing tiles on floor surfaces
  7. Cutting around odd shapes (e.g. pipes, basins) when tiling
  8. How to complete borders, patterns, diamond and brickwork
  9. Forming patterns for decorative finishes
  10. Tiling showers, bathrooms and wet rooms
In addition to these areas, our professional tiling courses allow for plenty of one-on-one time between candidates and their tutors. This will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have or go over anything you find difficult.

Progress Routes
