Portable appliance testing (commonly known as PAT testing or simply PAT) is a fundamental skill for electricians to learn, and one that can provide you with an additional source of revenue.

Every commercial electrical appliance must be PAT tested to ensure that it is safe for use, and so this portable appliance testing qualification (equivalent to the City & Guilds 2377 qualification) is a very useful accreditation for any practising professional electrician to hold.

Our fast-track PAT training course will allow you to get qualified very quickly. As per the City & Guilds 2377 certificate, the content of this course includes:
  • Inspecting portable appliances
  • PAT (Portable Appliance Testing)
  • Managing processes
  • Maintaining electrical equipment

This PAT testing course is ideal for those who are just starting out on their electrical training, and it is also suitable for office maintenance staff or landlords who wish to test commercial electrical appliances on their properties.

Although some basic electrical knowledge is useful, it is not essential for this particular course.

Contact Access Training today to find out more about our PAT training course.
