Intensive Floor Screeding Course
(ATW Certificate if necessary)
Course overview
This 3 day course is designed so you can learn how to screed a floor ready to tile for walk-in showers so you can produce the correct gradient for wet-rooms. After completing the course you will take away with you the ability produce a perfectly flat finish enabling you to lay tiles on a perfect floor.
These areas of tiling or plastering work can be difficult without the correct training and it is an area of tiling that some tilers do not attempt. However, it can be extremely lucrative; we will teach you how.
Who is this course for?
This floor screeding course is designed for literally anyone. It is designed for adults of any age who want to undertake associated tasks, but do not have the knowledge, experience or confidence to produce floor screeding in preparation for tiling. The tutors delivering this course will share with you their knowledge from many years experience so you can learn the necessary skills to take on these jobs safely and correctly and you will learn at a speed that is comfortable to you as an individual.
However, if you do not have any qualifications we would recommend that you consider attending our tiling Diploma or NVQ first. We can also offer the opportunity to train for longer on packages over 6 weeks or 8 weeks. These courses focus on more intricate areas of tiling and also help you to gain more confidence and a greater level of understanding.
You will gain the highest standard of achievement
All candidates will receive a certificate to confirm their attendance and completion of the course criteria. It is also an option for individuals to extend their course covering other aspects they haven’t yet addressed. Even though this course is not accredited, it can help those students who intend to progress onto other more in depth tiling courses. We are a BAL, City & Guilds and CAA approved tiling training centre and are also able to offer the City & Guilds 6218 award that forms part of the QCF framework.
You will be working with one of our tutors in your own training areas and will receive training, depending on your progress, in the following skills and during your time spent with us:

Progress routes
After this course some students decide to go further and undertake further courses to broaden their scope of work. We recommend that extending your Tiling training at a later date would give you a greater skill level and a higher City & Guilds or CAA tiling qualification. However, attending the tiling course as a complete extended package ensures that you as a student have a greater level of practical experience as well as theoretical knowledge of tiling to use straight away. This provides students who successfully complete both courses with a good grounding and the ability to carry out many tasks and increase their scope of work.
