6 Week City & Guilds Professional Tiling Course
(City & Guilds 6218 Certificate)
Course overview
At Access Training we will teach you the standard of skills needed to gain employment as a professional tiler and give the training like no other training centre can. Our 6 week course will give you the ability to undertake the CAA NVQ award that forms part of the QCF framework.
This course will give the candidate an industry recognised CAA qualification in Tiling. It consists of 6 weeks of on-site specialist training designed to provide you with in depth tiling skills (listed below) to ensure that once you leave the training centre, you have the confidence and are proficient in tiling. This Tiling Course takes place at our purpose built bespoke tiling training centre and the course can be split up into weekly elements that you can complete at a time to suit you, you can complete them around your current job or on a part time basis if you wish.
Who is this course for?
This tiling course is designed for literally anyone. It is designed for students of any age who want to undertake tiling tasks, but do not have the knowledge, experience or confidence to produce a professional quality tiled finish. The tutors delivering this course will share with you their knowledge from many years experience so you can learn the necessary skills to take on these jobs safely and correctly and you will learn at a speed that is comfortable to you as an individual.
However, if you are thinking of becoming a fully qualified professional tiler then we would recommend that you consider our CAA tiling NVQ Level 2. This course focuses on site and industry standard skills that also helps you to gain more confidence and a greater level of understanding.
You will gain the highest standard of achievement
During you 6 weeks of training you will be encouraged to complete a portfolio of evidence. This will become extremely useful should you wish to register for your NVQ level 2. We will not be needing to asses you out on site at this stage as this portfolio building will allow you to gauge your progress and give the confidence to get out there onsite and undertake your NVQ level 2. You will be working with one of our tutors in your own training areas and will receive training, depending on your progress, in the following skills and during your time spent with us:

However, attending the tiling course as a complete extended package ensures that you as a student have a greater level of practical experience as well as theoretical knowledge of tiling to use straight away. This provides students who successfully complete both courses with a good grounding and the ability to carry out many tasks and increase their scope of work.
