Who Should Enrol?

While City & Guilds do not state any formal entry requirements for their 2396 electrical design course, this training course is only suitable for experienced electricians who have already achieved some degree of professional qualification previously.

What Qualification Will I Receive?

Upon successful completion of this electrical design course, you will receive an electrical design certificate (equivalent to the City & Guilds 2396 qualification), confirming that you are qualified to design, build, and verify electrical installations.

Units covered

Our electrical design course consists of the following units:
  • Complete design of electrical installations
  • Calculations and technical requirements
  • Regulation compliance for new designs
  • Initial verification of new installations
  • Inspection and testing of electrical installations
  • Current safety legislation and British Standard 7671
Your course will culminate in a 3hr written examination (open book) and a design project involving a 20hr assessment in a given location, followed by the selection and verification of the complete electrical installation.
