Who should enrol?

While there are no formal entry requirements for this electrical design course, it is primarily designed for learners who wish to take their existing knowledge to a higher level. We recommend it for candidates who already have professional electrical experience or have previously undertaken our Professional Electrical Course.

What qualification will I receive?

Upon successful completion of this electrical design course, you will receive the Level 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations, confirming that you are qualified to design electrical installations. This will give you the ability to work alongside architects, building designers, and other professionals.

While this qualification is commonly known as City & Guilds 2396, please note that we work with a number of awarding organisations to provide the electrical design course (including City & Guilds, EAL and Logic). If you have a specific awarding body in mind, please make this clear when you contact us and we will endeavour to accommodate your preferences.

Units covered
