ACS Assessment and Reassessment Training

At Access Training our aim is to provide you with hassle free, straight forward gas training and assessment through our state of art Gas Training Centre that is fully accredited and equipped for both gas training and gas assessment. Our in-house team of gas trainers and assessors provide guidance, support and assistance in the most realistic of environments for those who are looking to undertake their CCN1 or any appliance testing certification along with the mandatory CPA1 (Combustion Performance Analysis).

The frequent changes and endless updates make it difficult for Gas Engineers and qualified people to remain up to date and aware of these revisions. At Access Training we are 100% confident that we are up to date with all the latest legislation and requirements regarding the ACS scheme so we can advise and reassess when requested.

It goes without saying that every gas Engineer has different needs and the advice and training that we provide will be tailored to your requirements. Please get in touch and we will answer any questions you have. We also provide packages to companies or partnerships that require training at a discounted rate. If you are a Category 1 candidate and you are looking to renew your certificates which may be about to expire or have already expired then we can provide you with the assessments you require. Please also note that if your certificate has expired you must get reassessed within 12 months of the date or you will have to carry out an Initial Assessment. We can also provide advice and assessment if you are considering expanding the scope of your work by adding appliances.

If you are considering renewing your CCN1 or adding appliances then you need to provide all of the following:

• Your Gas Safe registration number or Company Gas Safe registration Number
• Your National Insurance (NI) number.
• 2 passport photographs.
• Your original certificates.

If you are a Category 2 Candidate and you have evidence that you can provide detailing ‘on the job’ gas maintenance and gas installation work having been carried out and has been done so under the supervision of a practicing Gas Safe registered engineer, person or business, then this must be provided.

Recognised appropriate qualifications for category 2 candidates include:

1. Plumbing craft qualification or National/Scottish Vocational Qualification (N/SVQ) (oil and/or solid fuel options) - suitable initially for domestic or commercial central, water heating or pipework installation
2. Pipefitter/Welder craft qualification or N/SVQ - suitable initially for commercial pipework, pipework commissioning and meter installation
3. Heating and Ventilation craft qualification or N/SVQ - suitable initially for commercial pipework and appliance installation
4. Refrigeration engineer/fitter craft qualification or N/SVQ - suitable initially for commercial appliance and pipework installation At Access Training we offer specific packages to allow people wishing to enter the gas industry the chance to gain the qualifications and training needed to be able to achieve ACS accreditation.
