About the qualification

The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing & Heating is the qualification that will be required of you in most corners of the industry if you wish to carry out on-site plumbing work. To achieve your NVQ, you will need to supply a portfolio consisting of witness testimonies, factual accounts, and photographs of your work.

Gaining the NVQ Level 2 plumbing qualification traditionally takes quite a long time, but Access Training’s intensive, focused course – coupled with the support of our experienced tutors – will allow you to fulfil the necessary requirements within a relatively short period.

Assessment process

Here is a rough idea of how you will proceed towards your NVQ Level 2 qualification:
  1. A brief interview. This will give us an idea of your experience level and help us to tailor your training programme accordingly.
  2. An induction into compiling your portfolio. This can be completed online if you are unable to visit our training centre in person.
  3. Regular progress meetings.Whilst you are in the process of compiling your portfolio, you will meet with your assessor on a regular basis to assess the evidence being gathered.
  4. Final submission of your portfolio.
  5. Gaining your qualification.
