Course Overview

In order to carry out tiling work on-site, you will first need to achieve your NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Tiling. However, earning your tiling NVQ can be a very time-consuming process, and sadly, a lot of tilers find themselves unable to complete a portfolio of evidence due to other commitments.

If you are in this position, Access Training Academies can help. Our NVQ level 2 tiling course is specifically designed to help you complete your portfolio and get the corresponding qualification as quickly as possible, allowing you to commence on-site work right away.

Here’s what you’ll need to include in your portfolio to achieve your tiling NVQ:
  • Photographs of tiling jobs that you complete
  • Testimonials from witnesses who have seen your work first-hand
  • Factual accounts (storyboards) of the jobs you complete
You will be assisted by Access Training’s expert assessors, who will guide you through the entire process and ensure that you are on the right track at all times.

Who needs a tiling NVQ?

Any tiler who wishes to work on-site must have an NVQ level 2 diploma in wall and floor tiling, as well as a CSCS card to confirm the holder’s status as a qualified tiler. If you are a tiler looking to carry out paid site work, our ‘fast track’ tiling NVQ course is ideal for you – we will help you to get fully qualified in as little time as possible, allowing to proceed with the on-site work you are planning to undertake.

What will I achieve?

Once you have completed your portfolio of evidence and submitted it for assessment, you will be awarded the City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Wall & Floor Tiling. As mentioned above, this qualification is a prerequisite for tillers working on-site, you will also need a CSCS card. Please ask for details.

  2. You will then go through aninduction session(in person or online) that will introduce you to the tiling NVQ and the portfolio that you’ll need to compile.
  3. As you build your portfolio of evidence, you will attendregular progress meetingswith your Access Training assessor, who will assess the evidence you’re gathering and advise you going forward.
