Course Overview

The NVQ level 2 diploma in bricklaying is a qualification that all bricklayers must have if they wish to carry out work on-site. In the past, gaining this qualification has proven difficult for bricklayers with other commitments to manage; completing an NVQ is very time-consuming, and many people are simply unable to fit it in.

However, we at Access Training Academies can help you to gain your bricklaying NVQ within a short, manageable timeframe, allowing you to start performing on-site work without having to drop any other commitments. With our help, you will compile and submit a portfolio containing:
  • Factual accounts of your work
  • Witness testimonies
  • Photographic evidence of the jobs you complete
Our assessors will ensure that you are headed for success, helping you to gather the evidence you need and making recommendations as you move forward. Who needs a bricklaying NVQ?

As mentioned above, the level 2 bricklaying NVQ is an industry requirement for all site bricklayers. Even the most experienced bricklayers will not be permitted to perform on-site bricklaying work until they have the bricklaying NVQ and a CSCS card to prove it.

This course is aimed at experienced candidates only. If you have no prior experience of bricklaying work and want to get trained up, we recommend a career change course.

What qualification will I earn?

The qualification awarded to successful candidates is the City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Bricklaying. As previously stated, you will also be issued a CSCS card, which can be used as evidence of your NVQ qualification when you’re on-site.
