2 Week City & Guilds Plastering Course

Access Training is a City & Guilds and CAA approved training centre and is able to offer the City & Guilds 6218 Award in Basic Construction Skills.

This course is designed to give the candidate an industry recognised Award in plastering. It consists of 2 weeks of on-site specialist training designed to provide you with a lot of wide-ranging plastering awareness to ensure that once you leave the training centre, you have the confidence and are proficient in all areas of plastering. The Plastering Course takes place at our purpose built bespoke plastering training centre and the course can be split up into weekly elements that you can complete in your own time.

At Access Training our ethos is to ensure that each individual gains the practical hand skills and the training through quality individual Tutoring that they need to go on and achieve what they want with their plastering skills. We provide all the materials and tools needed to get the most out of the course, which takes place within our specially designed training centre dedicated to Plastering Courses. This plastering course is designed for literally anyone. It is designed for adults of any age who want to undertake plastering tasks, but do not have the knowledge, experience or confidence to produce a professional quality finish. The tutors delivering this course will share with you their knowledge from many years experience so you can learn the necessary skills to take on these jobs safely and correctly and you will learn at a speed that is comfortable to you as an individual. All candidates will receive a certificate to confirm their attendance upon completion of the course criteria. It is also an option for individuals to extend their course covering other aspects they haven’t yet addressed. Even though this course is accredited by City & Guilds, extra training can be provided for delegates as an option that can help those students who intend to progress onto other more advanced plastering courses. You will be working with one of our tutors in your own training areas and will receive training, depending on your progress, in the following skills during your time spent with us: (City & Guilds 6218 Award in Basic Construction Skills)

You will be selecting up to 3 Plastering Units from a total of 9 units. You must complete all mandatory elements to achieve the award:

• 005 Introducing Finishing Skills (Entry Level 3)
• 006 Introducing Levelling in Construction (Entry Level 3)
• 105 Developing Partitioning Skills (Level 1)
• 113 Developing Surface Preparation Skills (Level 1)
• 117 Developing Rendering Skills (Level 1)
• 118 Developing Plastering Skills (Level 1)
• 119 Developing Tiling Skills (Level 1)
• 208 Expanding Plastering Skills (Level 2)
• 207 Expanding Rendering Skills (Level 2)

Guided Learning: 2 Weeks On-site Specialist Training After this course some students decide to go further and undertake other courses to broaden their scope of work. We recommend that extending your plastering training at a later date would give you a greater skill level and the higher qualification of City & Guilds Certificate. However, attending the course as a complete extended package ensures that you as a student have a greater level of practical experience as well as theoretical knowledge of plastering to use straight away. This provides students who successfully complete both courses with a good grounding and the ability to carry out many tasks and increase their scope of work.
