6 week City & Guilds Professional Plastering Course

This course is designed to give the candidate an industry recognised certificate in Plastering. It consists of 6 weeks of on-site specialist training taking place at our training centre and can be broken up into weekly elements that you can complete in your own time but within a two year period. At Access Training our ethos is to ensure that each individual gains the plastering certification and training they need to go on and achieve what they want within the plastering industry, so we provide all materials and tools needed to complete the course, taking place within our specially designed training centre dedicate to plastering courses. This course is designed for literally anyone. It is designed for adults of any age who want to become a plasterer and get in to the industry, but do not have the knowledge, experience or confidence to produce a professional quality and to work safely. The tutors delivering this course will share with you their knowledge from many years experience so you can learn the necessary skills to take on these jobs safely and correctly and you will learn at a speed that is comfortable to you as an individual. All candidates will receive a City & Guilds certificate to confirm their attendance upon completion of the course criteria. It is also an option for individuals to extend their course and to progress onto the CAA level Diploma in Plastering. Even though this course is accredited by City & Guilds, extra training can be provided for delegates as an option that can help those students who intend to progress onto other more advanced plastering courses. You will be working with one of our tutors in your own training areas and will receive training, depending on your progress, in the following skills during the 6 weeks days spent with us: (City & Guilds 6218 Certificate in Basic Construction Skills) You will be selecting up to 5 Plastering Units from a total of 9 units. You must complete all mandatory elements to achieve the award:

• 005 Introducing Finishing Skills (Entry Level 3)
• 006 Introducing Levelling in Construction (Entry Level 3)
• 105 Developing Partitioning Skills (Level 1)
• 113 Developing Surface Preparation Skills (Level 1)
• 117 Developing Rendering Skills (Level 1)
• 118 Developing Plastering Skills (Level 1)
• 119 Developing Tiling Skills (Level 1)
• 208 Expanding Plastering Skills (Level 2)
• 207 Expanding Rendering Skills (Level 2)

Guided Learning: 6 Weeks On-site Specialist Training After this course some students decide to go further and undertake other more advanced courses to broaden their scope of work. We recommend that completing an extension of the course and gaining the CAA level 2 Diploma ensures that you as a student have the practical experience as well as theoretical knowledge of your work. This provides students who successfully complete both courses with a good grounding and the ability to carry out many tasks and increase their scope of work.
