Who should take the ACS initial assessment?

Our ACS assessment programme is specifically designed for skilled gas engineers who are ready to undertake a formal assessment and register with the Gas Safe Register.

In order to pass your initial ACS gas exam and qualify as a Gas Safe engineer, you must possess a thorough understanding of gas engineering and the associated principles. What does ACS stand for?

ACS stands for Accredited Certification Scheme. Passing your ACS exam and earning the CCN1 qualification is the standard route for becoming a professional gas engineer in the UK.

Once you have successfully completed your ACS gas assessment and received one or more industry-recognised qualifications, you will be able to join the Gas Safe Register Gas Safe Register (a legal requirement for gas engineers in this country).

Reassessment

Once you have gained your ACS qualifications, you will need to renew them periodically to retain your Gas Safe status and stay up to date with the latest regulations.

To renew your qualifications, you will need to attend an ACS reassessment, which is another service that we provide here at Access Training. Click here to learn more about our reassessment packages, or you can contact us to book your initial ACS assessment.
