The domestic electrical installation certificate will enable you to proficiently install your domestic electrical work, compliant with
Building Regulations Part P. After gaining your EAL Domestic Electrical Installers (Part P) Certificate and your
17th edition certificate, you are able to register to become a competent domestic electrical installer, with the ability to install, inspect, test and certify your work in accordance with
>BS 7671.
In addition, the electrical training courses will allow you to then be able to
register with a Competent Person Self-Certification Scheme such as NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA, where you can self-certify your installation work and provide your customers with a Part P compliant certificate. Please note that if you are working on domestic electrical installations and you don’t have this qualification you will need to notify Building Control directly, who then send out an inspector to inspect, test and certificate the installation (a significant additional charge will be incurred for this service, costing hundreds of pounds) so
gaining this qualification makes financial sense as well.
