This is a 5-day intensive course, which takes place in our purpose built carpentry-training department. Fully compliant with all City & Guilds requirements this department provides excellent facilities enabling you to work and learn at your own pace and learn how to hang doors, build stud walls, fix skirting boards, building furniture plus many other areas of your choosing.

Designed as stand-alone courses for anyone who wants to gain the basic DIY skills for improving or renovating the home. This can include any area, from papering and painting techniques through to learning techniques that are more advanced including stencilling or marbling effects.
Progress routes after DIY training courses
After this course some students also undertake other short courses such as the plastering course to build on their knowledge and others decide to go on and complete a full qualification and go further with their training.
