Progress routes
After this course some students decide to undertake a formal qualification and go further with their training, with some establishing plumbing as a new career choice. If this is the case than we recommend that completing both an NVQ and VRQ ensures that the student has practical experience as well as theoretical knowledge of plumbing. This provides students who successfully complete the courses with a good grounding for a long and prosperous career in the plumbing sector.
Our plumbing courses provide a clear progression route, helping learners to achieve the career goals they aspire to. Successful candidates can progress to higher level of work during their career and can for example move on to work in the Building Services Industry in roles such as Project Management. This helps those who wish, to progress from skilled occupations into technical, supervisory or managerial posts. The Gas Systems pathway for instance that forms part of the Level 3 Domestic Plumbing NVQ also provides candidates with a route to becoming certified through the Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) to work safely in the gas industry.
