DIY & Home Improvement Bathroom Fitting Training Course

Course overview
this is a 5 day course designed for anyone who would like to learn the skills required to fit a new bathroom suite. It is structured for anyone who would like the skills to undertake basic the installation of a new bathroom suite as a DIY job in the home or even as a foundation course for those who would are thinking of becoming a plumber and may consider further training at a later date.
During this 5-day course you will learn how to assemble and install a bathroom suite comprising of a close couple WC, pedestal washbasin and standard bath. Other topics covered include the fitting of covers, tap connectors, wastes, ball valves, siphons, WC seats and also bathroom design.
Who is this qualification for?
This course is open to anyone. It is designed for adults who want to undertake small jobs around their home, but do not have the knowledge, experience or confidence to carry this out. You will be able to install a new bathroom suite and make the home improvement that you didn’t think you could. The maximum number of students on each course is just six guaranteeing a high level of personal attention from our experienced trainers who include CORGI registered plumbing and heating engineers.
There is also a 2-week Professional Bathroom fitting course which covers bathroom fitting in much greater depth and includes City & Guilds qualifications, which is also available if you would like .
The tutors delivering this course will share with you their knowledge from many years experience so you can learn the necessary skills to take on these jobs safely and correctly and to the right standard.
You will gain the highest standard of achievement
All candidates will receive a certificate to confirm their attendance upon completion of the course. It is also an option for individuals to sit an examination covering the aspects they have covered on the course, even though this course is non-accredited. This can be provided for delegates as an optional examination that can help those students who intend to progress onto other courses. However, delegates will receive a certificate accredited by Access Training. However, you will be working with one of our tutors in your own training areas and will receive training in the following skills during the standard 5 day course:

- Decommissioning the old suite
- Working with both copper and plastic pipe and fittings
- Fitting a washbasin
- Fitting a standard bath
- Fitting and adjusting a WC seat
- Installing wastes, tap connectors, ball valves, siphons etc
Guided Learning: 5 days
Progress routes
After this course some students also undertake other short courses to build on their knowledge and others decide to go on and complete a full qualification and go further with their training. If this is the case for you when you attend your short DIY course then we recommend that completing different areas as a package as this ensures that the student has practical experience as well as theoretical knowledge of work. This provides students who successfully complete their courses with a good grounding and the ability to carry out work in their homes both safely and to a standard that the student is happy with.
