(City & Guilds 6218 Certificate in Basic Construction Skills)
Course overview
This course is designed to give the candidate an industry recognised certificate in decorating skills. It consists of 6 weeks of on-site specialist training taking place at our training centre and can be broken up into weekly elements that you can complete in your own time but within a two year period. At Access Training our ethos is to ensure that each individual gains the certification and training they need to go on and achieve what they want within the Painting and Decorating industry, so we provide all materials and tools needed to complete the course, taking place within our specially designed training centre dedicate to Decorating Courses.
Who is this qualification for?
This course is designed for literally anyone. It is designed for adults of any age who want to undertake Painting & Decorating jobs in the home, but do not have the knowledge, experience or confidence to produce a professional finish and to work safely. The tutors delivering this course will share with you their knowledge from many years experience so you can learn the necessary skills to take on these jobs safely and correctly and you will learn at a speed that is comfortable to you as an individual.
You will gain the highest standard of achievement
All candidates will receive a certificate to confirm their attendance upon completion of the course. It is also an option for individuals to sit an examination covering the aspects they have covered on the course, even though this course is accredited. This can be provided for delegates as an optional examination that can help those students who intend to progress onto other courses. However, delegates will receive a certificate accredited by Access Training.

This provides students who successfully complete both courses with a good grounding and the ability to carry out many tasks and increase their scope of work.
