We run regular flexible attendance options designed for everyone, including shorter day schedules for individuals who need to fit their training around a schedule whist still having the ability to learn all the hand-skills and gain the carpenter qualifications they need to either improve and maintain a property or ultimately become a carpenter.

You may be keen at DIY or have previous experience of basic carpentry techniques, however, we assume at the start that you have never done anything like this before and don’t have any carpenter qualifications so you can learn at your own speed. Everyone picks up the simple techniques from the very start and those with carpentry experience can advance as much as they wish to.

You will eventually learn more advanced techniques whilst achieving your carpenter qualifications that will allow you to add to your current skills or have a greater understanding of the quality finish you will need to produce to become a Professional Carpenter. This course is designed to give you the carpenter qualifications and confidence to use the techniques you learn in practice. The course and carpenter qualifications are designed for literally anyone. It is designed for adults of any age who want to learn the valuable skills of carpentry, but do not have the knowledge, experience or confidence to start carpentry and to work safely. The tutors delivering these carpenter qualifications will share with you their knowledge from many years experience so you can learn the necessary skills to take on these jobs safely and correctly and you will learn at a speed that is comfortable to you as an individual. The course is attended when you tell us; you can separate each week of training by many months, to fit around your work holiday schedule for example. All candidates will receive their carpenter qualifications upon successful completion of the course. It is also an option for you to gain other CAA carpenter qualifications as this carpentry course is accredited by City & Guilds. After this course some students also undertake other short courses to build on their knowledge and others decide to go on and complete other qualifications in other areas and go further with their training.
